Limited Use Myths

Recently we heard from a faculty member who thought that he could never request any more Elluminate sessions because we had given out all 200 licenses. This is not true. Please continue to send in your requests for sessions.

200 concurrrent user licenses in Elluminate Academic (and 500 in Elluminate Lite) means that we can, at any time, have any 200 people using Elluminate Academic (500 using Elluminate Lite) on our servers. This does not mean that we give out 200 user accounts in Elluminate Academic (and 500 in Elluminate Lite) and we are done with after that and cannot support any more users. This simply means that when we have sessions using 200 seats (and 500 in Elluminate Lite) within a certain time, we cannot have any more sessions within that time frame. So please send in your requests for Elluminate sessions. If we cannot create a session in Elluminate Academic because all 200 seats are being used, we will inform you and offer the option of having the session in Elluminate Lite or at a different time, or we will try to work with the other faculty having sessions at the same time to see if they can reduce some of the seats in their sessions so that you may be able to have your session in Elluminate Academic. You can also proactively check to see seats are available at times you require by visiting our session calendars for Elluminate Academic (http://calendars.yahoo.com/usfelluminate) and Elluminate Lite (http://calendars.yahoo.com/usfelite) where we maintain session time and seat information.
